New voter registration numbers out
New voter registration data is out, and as expected, “decline-to-state” voters saw the largest increase. Interestingly, the overall numbers are down — a phenomenon that often happens after elections. Here’s the latest breakout for all of the area’s contested districts:
For the 11th Congressional District
Republicans - 140,498 (42.49%)
Democrats - 124,153 (37.55%)
Decline-to-State - 54,514 (16.49%)
For the 5th state Senate District
Republicans - 122,103 (32.41%)
Democrats - 173,211 (45.98%)
Decline-to-State - 66,332 (17.61%)
For the 26th Assembly District
Republicans - 75,665 (41.99%)
Democrats - 73,590 (40.84%)
Decline-to-State - 24,042 (13.34%)
For the 15th Assembly District
Republicans - 106,043 (39.51%)
Democrats - 102,680 (38.26%)
Decline-to-State - 49,545 (18.46%)
For the 10th Assembly District
Republicans - 94,204 (41.83%)
Democrats - 85,128 (37.80%)
Decline-to-State - 36,844 (16.36%)
