California has traditionally been a world leader in implementing innovative public policy ideas. In this upcoming public lecture series program, Senator Tom Torlakson will discuss how California’s public policy innovation impacts Contra Costa County, California, the nation, and the world with two leading California public policymakers.
Joining Senator Torlakson for this conversation about stem cell research, global climate change, environmental protection, and other issues are:

* Assemblymember Jared Huffman, the chair of the Assembly Committee on Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials. Huffman represents the 6th Assembly District, including Marin and Sonoma Counties.
