Friends:
Super Tuesday was designed to be the defining political event of the primary season. It was crafted to produce nominees in both parties. It appears it succeed in the Republican race. But it produced a virtual tie in the Democratic race. In sports terms the Democrats are “going into overtime”.
Even for seasoned political watchers like us, the next few weeks will be exciting and uncertain. With this in mind, I would like to invite you to a special afternoon of political conversation with former Massachusetts Governor and 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis.
Governor Dukakis will be at Saint Mary’s College on Monday, February 25, at 4 p.m. for a public forum to discuss the 2008 presidential election. What a real opportunity to discuss first hand the issues of the day with a political icon.
I have attached a flier that has all the details on this exciting event. It is free and open to the public. The only thing missing is you!
After you put this date on your calendar, please feel free to forward the flier on to any person, group or organization you feel might be interested in joining us.
Please feel free to contact me at my Saint Mary’s telephone number if you would like additional details, 925-631-4830.
Hope to see you on the 25th!
