Join Senator Tom Torlakson for his annual “Walk and Talk Town Hall” meeting to celebrate California Fitness Month. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 10.
This year’s Walk and Talk Town Hall Meeting will take place on the East Bay Regional Park District’s Carquinez Strait Overlook Loop Trail at the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline.
You will have the opportunity to discuss legislative issues–including the state budget crisis, protecting and improving our public schools, health and fitness legislation, and any other subject important to you.
The Carquinez Strait Overlook Loop trail includes a 2-mile walk with an uphill beginning. The trail provides a person with beautiful vistas of the Carquinez Strait, Bay, and Delta. The walk will also feature remnants of a brickworks, a grain wharf, and a resort dating back to the late 1800s.
