The Democratic Party of Contra Costa County (DPCCC) is the official Democratic Party governing body in Contra Costa County, the ninth-largest county in California.
The Contra Costa County Democratic Central Committee governs the DPCCC, with representatives elected from each of the county's five Supervisorial Districts and appointed by Democratic elected officials and nominees from State and Federal offices.
As the local embodiment of "America’s Majority Party" for voters and candidates alike, the members of the DPCCC advance our goals through several ongoing programs: club chartering, voter registration, precinct organizing, candidate support, communications, fundraising, and infrastructure.
Each election year, the DPCCC interviews and makes endorsement recommendations for Democratic candidates seeking elected office within Contra Costa County. Endorsements made by the DPCCC in local and municipal races become the California Democratic Party's official endorsements.
