The Grand Jury also selects its own agenda of investigations and may respond to complaints from residents. This is an excellent position to have an opportunity to do some good for our communities. The commitment is to meet in Martinez for a year. Probably about 20 hours a week of work with investigations and sub committees. Grand Jurors are first vetted for the usual background checks and then a smaller pool of 60 is created that is representative of the entire county geographically.
